Restoring myTasks Backup Files

If you need to restore the myTasks active and/pr archive task files from backup, here is the procedure:

  1. Make a note of where your task files are located:
    1. In myTasks, select the Help | System Info command.
    2. In the Basics tab, look for the ActiveTasks and ArchiveTasks entries and note their values.
    3. Click OK to dismiss the dialog.
  2. Close myTasks - it must not be running for the next few steps to work.
  3. To restore active tasks: In Explorer, move the backup active.todo file from the backup location to the ActiveTasks location recorded above.
  4. To restore archived tasks: In Explorer, move the backup archive.todo file from the backup location to the ArchiveTasks location recorded above.
  5. Restart myTasks and verify that the task files have been moved successfully.
