(551) Filename without path on command line opened as read-only

If Jot+ Notes is invoked like "jotplus3.exe foobar.jot", foobar.jot will be opened as read-only, while "jotplus3.exe c:\foobar.jot" or even "jotplus3.exe .\foobar.jot" will be opened correctly as read-write.

Workaround: 1. Use a shortcut directly to the notefile, or 2. Use the full path to the notefile on the command line.

(557) License entry doesn't handle all word-wrapping possibilities

The Paste option in the license entry dialog handles most, but not all, cases where the license is word-wrapped (eg by e-mail software). The following case is not handled correctly: LICENSE-KEY: 1234-5678-9ABC-DEF0

(559) Default tab stop only works with current note

The Default Tab Stop setting only affects the current note, though the helpfile indicates that this setting affects the entire notefile. This is actually working as designed - the helpfile is incorrect.

(560) Launching notefile minimized does not load notefile until restored

When Jot+ Notes is launched minimized with a notefile, the notefile is not actually loaded until Jot+ Notes is restored.

If an internet hyperlink contains [square brackets], HTML export will generate an incorrect hyperlink tag.

(565) Jot2 import sets note modified timestamp incorrectly

When a Jot+ Notes 2.x notefile is loaded, the modified time of notes with children is set to the current time (when the notefile was loaded), overwriting the time stored in the notefile. Jot+ Notes 3.x notefiles are not affected.

(567) Long startup time on VIA C3-based computers

On computers using the VIA C3 processor, Jot+ Notes startup time can be excessive. It turns out that the C3 processor is extremely underpowered compared to similar AMD and Intel chips, and Jot+ Notes happens to hit the C3's weak points.

Workaround: The only real solution is to upgrade to a better processor...

(568) Titles pane font ignores bold/italic selection

If the Titles pane font is chosen with bold or italic style, the style is ignored. The Note Title pane does display the selected style, though. This is not quite a bug, as selecting a bold/italic font will conflict with the note title styles available through Note|Properties.
