Announcing Jot+ Notes™ 3.0

King Stairs Software is pleased to announce Jot+ Notes 3.0, the new version of its award-winning flagship product.

Jot+ Notes 3.0 continues the King Stairs Software policy of providing maximum functionality with minimum complexity and "bloat". Many new features have been added to Jot+ Notes 3.0, all requested by users, but considerable effort has been made to ensure the application remains easy to use.

What's New?

Enhanced Editor
The Jot+ Notes editor has been greatly enhanced, with more sophisticated formatting options and a new ruler to quickly change tab stops and margins.
Embedded Objects *NEW*
Jot+ Notes 3.0 allows images and objects (such as Excel worksheets and Word pictures) to be embedded into notes.
Improved Toolbars
A new toolbar implementation includes support for customization and user-defined toolbars.
Configurable Shortcut Keys *NEW*
The user can redefine the shortcuts for almost all commands from a simple dialog.
Style Macros *NEW*
User-defined style macros let users quickly format text.
Plugin Support *NEW*
Features not provided in Jot+ Notes 3.0 can be easily added as plugins, reducing bloat and allowing greater scope for customization.
Spell Checking *NEW*
Optional spell checking support for note text.
And a lot more...
  • Inline note renaming.
  • Choice of note icons and background color.
  • Enhanced import/export options, including XML.
  • Notefile compression.

Release Date

Jot+ Notes 3.0 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2003; a specific release date will be announced in due course.

Pricing and Upgrades

Jot+ Notes 3.0 pricing will be announced closer to release.

In keeping with King Stairs Software's generous Upgrade Policy, any user who purchased Jot+ Notes 2.5 on or after 6 Aug 2002 will be eligible for a free upgrade to Jot+ Notes 3.0 when it is released.
