Can Jot+ Notes 2.5.5 and Jot+ Notes 3.0 be installed on the same computer?: Yes: Both releases of Jot+ Notes can co-exist happily on the same computer, as long as you install them into separate folders (which the setup will do by default). The only thing you need to be aware of is that both versions will want to associate themselves with the .jot file extension, but you can decide which via their setup programs.

Is there a special upgrade price for Jot+ Notes 2.x users?: Users upgrading from Jot Cardfile 1.x and Jot+ Notes 2.x can claim a discount; there is a dedicated 3.x Upgrades page with full details.
What about Jot+ Notes Viewer?: An updated version of Jot+ Viewer, supporting Jot+ Notes 3.x, is now available.

How can I migrate my notefiles to Jot+ Notes 3.x: Jot+ Notes 3.0 can read notefiles created by Jot+ Notes 2.x, and will offer to update those files to the newer Jot+ Notes 3.0 notefile format. If you want to keep Jot+ Notes 2.x compatible notefiles around, for example for use with other Jot+ Notes 2.x users, it is recommended that you store them in a separate folder from Jot+ Notes 3.0 notefiles.
When does the upgrade offer for existing Jot+ Notes users end?: There is no expiry date on the offer - Jot+ Notes 2.x users (or 1.x users) may upgrade to Jot+ Notes 3.0 whenever they like: Today, next week, or next year.
I received by Jot+ Notes 3.0 license, and tried to install it, but it doesn't work!: The most likely reason for this is that you are trying to install a Jot+ Notes 3.0 license into Jot+ Notes 2.5.5, or vice versa. Jot+ Notes 2.x and Jot+ Notes 3.0 require different licenses, and you cannot one with the other! If you need a duplicate license, please use the Duplicate License Request Form.
Where can I find my Jot+ Notes 2.x SERIAL NUMBER for upgrading?: There are two places you can look: 1. On your license certificate or e-mail, or 2. The Help|System Info command displays the serial number. Failing that, you can ask us.
When running Jot+ Notes 3.0, I see two entries for JotPlus3.exe in the Task Manager's process list?: This is normal behaviour.
What happens to my Jot+ Notes 2.x configuration when I move to 3.0?: Because of changes in the configuration between these two versions, Jot+ Notes 3.0 does not import your 2.x configuration, so you will need to re-configure Jot+ Notes 3.0.
If I upgrade to Jot+ Notes 3.0 and uninstall Jot+ Notes 2.x, will I lose all my data?: NO. Configuration is a separate matter, discussed above. Your data (ie your .jot Jot+ notefiles) is quite separate from the Jot+ Notes application, and will not be deleted or modified by installing or uninstalling any version of Jot+ Notes as long as you don't keep your notefiles in the same folder where you installed Jot+ Notes (eg c:\Program Files\Jot+ Notes).
I need to re-install Jot+ Notes 3.0; do I need to install Jot+ Notes 2.5.x first?: No. You can install Jot+ Notes 3.0 directly; it does not require a previous version nor does it check for one.
